Applications are
invited in prescribed form from the
citizens of India for filling up of 20 (Twenty) posts of Assistant Professor
in Geography subject for the Govt.
Colleges of Arunachal Pradesh in the Pay Band‐3 of Rs. 15600‐39100 with AGP of Rs.
6000/‐ per
month plus
other allowances as admissible
to Arunachal Pradesh Govt. employees from time
to time. 80% of posts are reserved for
APST candidates and 20% of posts are un‐reserved i.e for
open competition as per Arunachal Pradesh Govt. reservation
policy. The posts are temporary but
likely to be made permanent in due course.
Vacancy position and reservation of posts are subject
to variation.

ELIGIBILITY and EDUCATION QUALIFICATION :
(a) The candidate must not
be above 30 years of age as on 25.09.2013 (35
years for SC/ST candidates) and
there is upper age
relaxation of 5 years for
the candidates serving in Arunachal Pradesh State Government
on regular basis.
(b) Master’s Degree
in concerned subject with atleast 55% marks or
its equivalent grade with good academic
records.
However there is relaxation of 5% marks i.e. from 55% to
50% at Master’s Degree level for the ST/SC candidates.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications,
the candidate must have cleared the NET
conducted by
the UGC,
CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC
like SLET/SET.
Notwithstanding
anything contained in sub‐clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidate
who are or have awarded a Ph.D.
Degree in accordance with the University
Grants Commission Minimum Standards and
procedure for
Award of Ph.D. Regulations 2009, shall
be exempted from the requirement of the minimum
eligibility condition
of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant
Professor or equivalent position in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
3.
METHOD OF SELECTION:
The eligible candidates will
have to appear in an Interview/Viva‐Voce test
to
be conducted by the Commission at Itanagar
or any other place, which may be
decided by the Commission. The final selection
of the candidates will be made on the basis
of the candidate’s performance
in the Interview/Viva‐Voce purely on merit.
4.
AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATION FORM: Application form for admission to Interview/
Viva‐Voce test
for
the recruitment of above post should be
obtained from the Commission’s Office, Itanagar on all
working days from 10 AM to 4 PM up to 25.09.2013 on
cash payment of Rs. 70/‐
for APST candidates and Rs. 130/‐
for
General candidates. No separate fee in the
form of Demand Draft/Treasury Challan will
be required
further
along with the application form. The fee is
included with the cost of the application form
for
convenience of the applicant.
5.
HOW TO APPLY:
Along with the duly filled‐up
format, candidates must enclose the following
documents other wise the application will be rejected.
(i)
Two copies of recent colour pass‐port size photographs with self‐attestation in the front side.
(ii)
Attested copies of certificates and mark‐sheet right from Class‐X onwards up to PG level
including PG Mark‐sheet
issued by the Assistant Registrar/Registrar/Controller
Examination/Vice‐Chancellor
of Concerned University to ascertain educational
qualification.
(iii)
Attested copy of APST certificate.
(iv)
Attested copy of matriculation certificate for proof
of age issued by the Board/University only will
be accepted.
(v)
Attested copy of PRC in case of General candidates.
(vi)
All supporting documents submitted by the candidates including
NET/SLET/SET/Ph.D must be attested by a Gazetted
Officer with proper designation, seal and
signature of attesting officer other‐ wise the application
will be rejected. NB: The Application
form should be procured in the name of
the candidate only.

6. LAST DATE
OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION: The last date for receiving of application
form by the Commission is up to 25.09.2013 till 4
PM.
7. OTHER RULES:
(i)
The decision of the Commission
as to the eligibility or other‐wise of
a candidate for admission
to the Interview or Selection will
be final and no correspondence or personal
enquiry will be entertained.
(ii)
Candidates already in service may apply direct to this Commission
with intimation to his/her Head of Department.
(iii)
Application in the prescribed form should
be submitted in the reception counter in
a Cover/Envelope super scribed “Application
for the post of Assistant Professor” and obtain receipt
from the counter to
ensure his/her submission of application form.
(iv)
Application form can also be sent through registered
Post/Courier.
(v)
APPLICATION FORM OTHER THAN THE ONE PROCURED FROM THE
ARUNACHAL PRADESH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, ITANAGAR WILL BE
SUMMARILY REJECTED. NO DUPLICATE OR TYPED‐OUT FORM WILL BE ENTERTAINED.
(vi)
Application form not fulfilling the terms and
conditions as stipulated in the advertisement will
be
rejected.
(vii)
CANDIDATES ARE URGED TO READ THE INSTURCTIONS AND
FILL UP THE FORMS CAREFULLY AS THERE WILL BE
NO FURTHER RECTIFICATION PERIOD AFTER CLOSING DATE.
